corrupt ngo hypocrites of ranil praise sirisena's dictatorial actions

puppet sirisena is trying his best to suppress free expression of sri lankan political opinion through a free and fair election. in order to do that he is tyrannically removing general secretaries of upfa & slfp, and sacking members of slfp central committee wholesale. remember this is done to cripple one of the two major parties during final stages of an election, and to effect the outcome of election by changing national list appointees.

he is of course driven to this by corrupt pederast ranil. who never won, and knows that he will never  win, a free and fair election.

but note how foreign paid ngo scum are praising these blatantly undemocratic actions. these same people opposed defeating of child killing terrorist pussies. for an example, read indi samarajiva,  member of an utterly corrupt political appointee family. typical of the type, he is totally incapable of working for a living, has no qualifications to speak of, has inexplicably lost money on various web projects which he gets others to create at slave wages, and has hung around one ngo after another. (btw in a blatant act of nepotism, after his corrupt political appointee father got him a job at a mobile company, he manged to extort substantial exit money from it after working just 1 year). such people are so rotten in their heads and so short sighted, they cannot even see the obvious facts.

we, sri lankans defeated such scum when they supported tigers, and we will do so again in spite of all their schemes.

as i said day before election, ranil wont be able to form a stable government even with such corruption and illegal dictatorial violence. political and economic realities will catch up with him, and his toyboys, within a year at most. and true opinion of sri lankans will prevail soon enough.

when that happens, let us remember filth like indi, scum who are willing to praise any anti democratic tyrannical corrupt action harmful sri lankans, just as long as they get dollars pushed into their holes. their incompetent lazy ass noses should be rubbed on their own words till they vomit all their ill gotten dollars out.

contrast the choices on offer before voting

here i will give a brief contrast between choices available in tomorrow's voting. decide if i am right or wrong (or omitted anything). then clarify and express your thoughts rationally here(or just in your own mind). then go vote.

practically choice is between a country led by mahinda or by ranil. (sirisena is clearly incapable of leading on his own, has no substantive independent political support, and is only capable of arbitrary actions that can be circumvented).

minor parties
while minor parties a technically choices, voting for them is a vote wasted if our aim is to choose next government. one can vote for such parties for other reasons. for instance, tamil racists can vote for despicable tna, impractical idiots living in past blind to present day realities can vote for jvp, etc.

btw there are no libertarian choices at all, even if i wanted to waste my vote intentionally.

---
main criteria for contrasting mahinda and ranil are,
  • their past records.
  • likely future government they will form

past records
mahinda has an impressive record of delivering what he promised. with few blemishes.
  • terrorists were defeated, peace achieved.
  • economic growth rate reached new sustained highs, debt to gdp percentage was reduced to 70% from close to 100%, foreign reserves reached $9b+, inflation was reduced to low single digits, unprecedented infrastructure development, expansion of tourism, etc.,etc..
  • independent non aligned foreign policy, using china to balance india's intrusions and west's waning hegemony.
  • far from being a dictator as alleged, democracy prevailed to the extant that he allowed conditions for elections that can defeat him, and when defeated, promptly left office. constitutional impeachment of a chief justice. misuse of state media and resources for propaganda.
  • alleged corruption (though not one charge has been proven by new government in-spite of having ample opportunity and usage of extra legal methods of investigation, such as fcid), nepotism.

in contrast ranil's record is one of dismal incompetence. plus all the blemishes that mahinda has.
  • he failed in his dealing with terrorists and some of those dealings were downright traitorous and cost blood of innocents. he still panders to remaining followers of terrorists' racist ideology.
  • wasn't able to make much change in economic growth or debt in previous periods of governing. this year, through an irresponsible budget, he managed to bring down growth and reserves, and increase debt, with nothing whatever to show for any of that. stopping variety of infrastructure developments on flimsy grounds(in order to extort kick backs) with disastrous consequences for economy.
  • slavishly panders to west, and obeys india. with sri lanka getting nothing, absolute zero, in return.
  • has a record of acting dictatorially and illegally, using fine print and loopholes, instead of openly, to retain power in country or in his own party. violation of constitution to remove a chief justice. was implicated in torture camps during 1980s, using dictatorial methods through puppet sirisena to prevent mahinda and party from contesting fairly and freely. use of illegal methods and false investigations to harass political opponents. misuse of state media and resources for propaganda.
  • clearly the mover behind central bank bond scum this year, and related attempted cover ups to protect governor in order stop evidence implicating himself. widespread attempt to extort foreign investors through stoppage of infrastructure developments by his government. nepotism.

likely future governments
now let us contrast the conditions and methods that each will face and use after election if they form a government.

mahinda led upfa has a chance to obtain a clear majority, if free and fair elections were held. in that case sisrisena will be forced to make him prime minister. even if upfa fails to get a clear majority due to dictatorial actions of the ranil's puppet, upfa may get more seats than any other party. in which case even if puppet allows ranil to form a government, and he accepts, it will be extremely unstable(see below) and will fall within a year at most. and mahinda will be made prime minster eventually.

mahinda has shown he can get variety of non upfa mps to support his government and more importantly his polices. though puppet may try to destablize it few years down, it will be stable in mid term. such a stable government will be similar in its polices to mahinda government before january 8, offering economic growth security, and independence (with crony capitalism). terrorists and their racist ideology will be repressed. there would of course be retaliatory prosecution of ranil and supporters. imo such a government was and is a good thing. you are free to differ.

ranil will not get a clear majority. most probably unp led alliance will get 2nd most number of seats (with extremely slight chance of getting more than upfa). in either case, puppet may ask him to form government. which will depend on upfa defections, tamil and muslim racists and extremists, hela urumaya sinhala extremists, jvp marxist extremists, etc., etc..  ranil, in contrast to mahinda, has no record of getting others to follow his polices. government will be unstable and will struggle to pass any legislation. if same irresponsible polices, as present, are continued, economy will be facing great disaster by end of this year. but reversal of such policies (during next budget) will be politically impossible.  government will fall. imo such a government would be bad for country.

contrast between choices available are clear. clarify your thoughts, refute me if possible. then vote rationally.

3 basic questions to answer before voting

whoever we vote for today, mahinda or maithree, answering these 3 questions will help clarify our thoughts, thus giving meaning to mark we make.

1/ with terrorists defeated, economy growing, and prevailing democracy even enabling us to kick mahinda out, should we kick him out and why? give reasons.

2/ if mahinda and his administration have faults (nepotism? corruption? ... ) would they really be cured by maithree and his backers? are they without those same faults?

3/ can maithree, dependent on failed politicians from unp and slfp, and fringe parties and racists of all kinds, be a resolute leader, able to keep as prospering and safe, especially with institution of executive presidency abolished?

if we are responsible sri lankan citizens we must be able to answer these 3 before voting.

here are my anwsers.

1/ we mustn't kick mahinda out because he has been a successful president.
2/ maithree backers are perhaps worse.
3/ maithree will be a weak president and a disaster.

you are free to answer differently. but do answer them. and if you do disagree with me, let me know in comments section, with reasons for all 3 questions. .

i have also made a prediction, based on facts and rational calculations, that mahinda will win with a significant margin. track record of previous such predictions here, such as 2010 one, are excellent.

reasons why mahinda should win

yesterday i wrote a post predicting that based on facts and rational calculations, mahinda will win by a significant margin. a prediction i am sure will be fulfilled,as my past ones here have been. this post in contrast is an opinion piece giving my reasons as to why, we, sri lankans, should elect mahinda instead of maithree, those 2 being the only credible choices available.

i started then by saying,

"the main failing of a representative democracy like sri lanka is that voter cannot decide on each policy individually, one by one. we have to decide between individuals who make promises to act according to a package of policies."

(while the outcome of this election, will certainly be the same as last time, a victory for mahinda rajapaksa, as i said last time, "certainty of outcome should not be a sufficient reason to favor it").

question, then and now, is how to evaluate the package of polices and the trustworthiness of the individual to carry it out.

evaluating polices
like last time, the packages offered are not ideologically consistent. only the leftist fringe candidates are offering anything like coherent policy packages. not even a fringe candidate is offering what can be termed libertarian policies that this blog adhere to. as such selection based on ideology is out of the question, unless you are a leftist who wants to post an ineffective protest vote.

of policies offered by 2 main candidates, mahinda's is more coherent and pragmatic than one offered by maithripala sirisena.

but let us examine each of the main policy issues.

economy
mahinda is basically offering continuation of same polices that were in operation last 5 years. these policies involved,
  • unprecedented infrastructure development,
  • creating conditions for expansion of service economy, and service exports, along with continuation of export of goods.
  • reduction of growth in import expenditure; through reduction of imports of oil for electricity generation, sugar, milk powder, etc.
  • creating conditions for unprecedented expansion of tourism.
  • consistently lower inflation than in past. consistent reduction in budget deficit, and national debt as a percentage of gdp. increase in foreign reserves to stabilize the currency.
  • expansion of government service and apparent subsidies(though in fact. subsides as a whole have been reduced).
all these in combination has delivered around 7% real gdp growth on average. well in excess of world and regional average.

except for the expansion of government service (and claims of increase in subsides), i have no great objections to any of this. and since sri lanka as a whole is far from being libertarian, most sri lankans would approve, rather than object to even that. though government's visible hand in reduction of certain imports, and its direct hand in infrastructure development, are violations of free market principles, these are in fact not free markets to begin with. in any case mahinda has never been a free market capitalist.

mahinda has delivered what he promised in past. and there is no reason to believe he will fail in future.

his success in economy is such that maithree has lost all coherence in his, and his handlers, attempts to advance an alternative economic policy. they have been more or less reduced to acknowledge mahinda's success with economy. instead of criticizing mahinda's policy, they are criticizing implementation methods and details. and doing so using blatant falsehoods.

sirisena supporters say country is burdened with debt. in fact national debt as a percentage of gdp has been in steady decline. in 2004 it was 105% of gdp. now it is about 70%. absolute nominal debt figure has gone up, but because economy is growing fast (both in real terms and nominal terms, second being the relevant one here) debt as a percentage of gdp comes down.

they also say that some of the infrastructure projects are useless. however their main targets mathala airport and hambantota port are in fact operating successfully. their half hearted attempts to depict newly developed and improved roads as useless to common man, shows an unbelievable lack of connection with common people. they are silent or contradictory when pressed to declare whether they are going to stop these projects.

maithree also promises to increase on mahinda's promises on government subsidies and service. i think sri lankans can recognize fake empty promises.

maithree also resurrects a promise to increase government spending on education to 6% of gdp. this is the sort of ignorant impractical idiocy that confirm maithree camp has lost all hope of winning the election.  sri lankan government barely collects 10% of gdp in revenue and spends less than15% of gdp in total. as such without drastic tax increases, and/or massive cuts in every other sort of public spending from health, defense, agriculture, debt service, pensions, salaries of public servants, etc, this is impossible.

in sum, maithree has been content to hurl variety of criticisms (more than tinged with absurd falsifications of facts)  at mahinda's implementations, instead of offering a pragmatic coherent policy on economy. he himself has no track record on economy and politicians that surround and control him, both from unp and slfp, have track records of failure.

corruption & good governance
an issue related to economy is corruption, which the maithree camp has tried to turn into a major issue. it isn't. of course economy has grown, so no doubt corruption has kept pace with growth. but present government is no more corrupt than previous ones, and any future ones. changing one set of governing politicians with another set (esp a set that were corrupt last time they were in power) wont change a thing. as i have maintained from start of this blog, only way to reduce corruption is to reduce the size of government, thus power of politicians and bureaucrats to control public funds and regulations. but maithree is not advocating that, as such his promise to fight corruption are false.

nepotism is another charge against mahinda. he certainly has used and given power to his brothers. but whether that is bad or not, depends on their competence. a competent bother is preferable to an incompetent outsider. his brothers that matter, gotabaya and basil, are competent at their jobs, with solid achievements. in contrast, politicians in maithree camp, chandrika and ranil, among others, also rose through nepotism, and more importantly, were and are incompetent. maithree's own brothers are far from admirable.

executive presidency
this is another non issue that opposition has tried to raise to a major issue. no sri lankan with any sense will want to do away with  executive presidency. it was that institution that allowed the steady leadership needed to defeat tamil terrorist pussies. similar stability is needed between elections to create a stable environment for development. under this constitution, if electorate wants, it can provide a needed check to presidency through parliament. as happened in early last decade.

given the political make up of country with lot of small parties, and proportional electoral system, doing away with executive presidency will create an unstable wavering extremely weak governments dependent on whims of those fringe parties

fact that maithree, dependent on those fringe parties, promises this, is a solid reason for defeating him.

national security
sri lankans who wish to live in a free democratic country must keep their eyes open for any revival of tamil racist terrorism. while they are defeated in sri lanka , they are visibly active (and in some cases openly pandered to) in west. and their racist ideology and goals are is still the ideology and goals of racist party, tna, their one time faithful political arm.

until tna unconditionally condemns ltte and its big pussy mass murderer prabhakaran, and participate in democratic processes, like the parliamentary select committee, to find solutions to grievances of all communities in north and east provinces, they should be treated with suspicion. that is why their extension of support to maithree should make voters for maithree hesitate a lot before marking their vote.

maithree supporters counter this by saying many former tamil terrorists, like karuna, are supporting mahinda. difference is that these individuals contributed to condemnation and defeat of tigers, while tna and ilks, did not. nor is mahinda dependent on them, while maithree is lost without tna support.

a weak president or prime minister, dependent on fringe parties, including racist parties like tna and slmc, is bad for national security and stability and must not be elected

those are the main policy issues, and with regard to all of them, mahinda is the better choice.

judging individual trustworthiness
we also have to judge whether these candidates can be trusted enough to carry out their duties and promises.

last time i said, based on his track record, "we can generally expect rajapaksa to govern from a pragmatic center left position." he has done exactly that. he has displayed strong stable leadership needed to develop sri lanka and keep it strong. in fact there is no need to change him even if alternative was a similar individual.

maithree on the other hand, is a colorless mediocre cipher. he has no notable achievements. he is harmless enough as a bureaucrat and lower functionary. but not a person from whom resolute leadership can be expected. his political position as a dependent of others in past and now, makes it worse. he wont be able to stand up to corrupt opportunists, racists, foreign interferers, or terrorists.

conclusion
by all criteria for evaluating candidates, mahinda is far superior to other possible alternative, sirisena. so let us contribute to inevitable mahinda victory by voting for him.

channel 4's callum macrae tweets insults at protester victims of tamil tigers

maker of channels' 4 ridiculously biased anti sri lanka movies callum macrae committed a fresh atrocity as only inborn racists can.

victims of tamil tiger terrorist violence (lot of them people who either had their children killed or are living with children maimed by tamil tiger terrorists) protested his presence in sri lanka. they are justly angry at his movies, which based on unauthenticated or unsubstantiated evidence portray a wildly distorted image of sri lanka and defeat of tigers.

[some of many problems with channel 4's coverage of sri lanka was pointed out in great detail in a new book (25M pdf) available here. even though same issues and others were raised by variety of individuals and institutions both in sri lanka and elsewhere (including uk) for a long time, channel 4 is yet to make  any worthwhile response to any of the grave problems raised about its now very detailed corrupt bias. ]

when faced with peaceful protests he insults these protesting victims as "orchestrated" through twitter.

photo of funeral of kebithigollewa massacre victims (over 15 school children and several pregnant women going to a clinic, died on this tiger bomb attack on a bus.) just one of many such attacks

he is in effect saying they had their children killed and maimed through ltte so that they can be used in a protest against him. same to victims who lost their parents, relatives, and friends. and those who lost their property, livelihoods, and economic opportunities, due to terror.

this is how these filthy western racists think. and their paid slaves in sri lanka parrot (and retweet) them. they think our suffering does not matter. and we can be insulted and our human rights can be violated with impunity.

time we repay western racist scum like this and their local slaves in the same coin.

will tamil nationalists and their western backers face facts?

yesterday's elections for northern provincial council resulted in the expected victory for ilankai tamil arasu kadchi(itak) also called tamil national alliance(tna). it is a mixed group of tamil nationalist politicians  from moderates to despicable extremely violent racists including those who were allied to now defeated tiger terrorists.

question that matter is not the results, but what happens now.

will the tamil nationalists have the courage and pragmatism to face facts below(as almost all other sri lankans have already done);

that so called 'oppressors' and 'prosecutors' of tamils(that is sri lankans in general as represented by government) were not bent of oppression. but were perfectly willing to and did hold a truly free and fair election.

that such an election was only possible after the military defeat of tamil tigers(ltte).

that in contrast, tigers, when they had power, insisted on being the sole representative of tamils, and killed and oppressed and prosecuted fellow tamils who even hinted at independent opinion(not to mention other sri lankans).

that defeat of tigers and holding of free elections was a great and praiseworthy leap for human rights and reconciliation in sri lanka.

that way forward in any direction requires, not confrontation and slander, but pragmatic engagement with sri lanka's democratic government.
will tamil nationalists face these facts and acknowledge them?
will they have the courage to push aside the extreme racists who prefer to remain blind to them (and prefer violence)?

will western hypocrites preaching to sri lanka about human rights and reconciliation face these facts, and acknowledge and support sri lanka's solid progress instead of prejudging us based on  unsubstantiated allegations spread by racists(both tamil and western)?

we, sri lankans, have acted to secure democracy and human rights by defeating tigers and holding free elections. as always we will continue to do everything to foster democracy and human rights without prompting.
it up to all, including tamil nationalists, to join this effort in peace, and renounce violence and slanders.
it is in the interest of west and other foreign governments, to help us continue in the same road,  renouncing hypocritical preaching and counter productive attempts at coercion.

whatever happens we will remain a democratic free society. and anyone who tries to undermine it with violence and coercion should be and would be defeated, as tiger scum were.

ps.
in elections held in north western and central provinces governing upfa is winning handsomely, as expected, even without some of its coalition partners. those coalition parties also got seats and will rejoin in administration if upfa will let them. unp is in a pathetic state as usual. jvp is finished.

life vs blog

i have posted very little here recently, even though i desired to reengage with blogging and my mind is full of blog posts and ideas. but life is great and full that one unconsciously delays.

in addition, the fact that sri lanka is at peace and prospering, while terrorists, racists, and western paid ngo slave scum, are either dead or failing, reduce the need for political posts in both reader and writer.

but i will try.

thanks to all who inquired.

no fair hearing from west - sl prez denied freedom of speech in britain, again

once again west confirmed that it will not give a fair hearing to sri lanka by cancelling a speech to be given by sri lankan president in united kingdom (aka despicable rump of genocidal british empire) citing protests by tamil tiger terrorist supporters. racist western media went to absurd lengths to portray this denial of free speech as some sort of victory for human rights, and repeated, already thoroughly debunked, allegations of atrocities in sri lanka, as facts.

wonder how west's ass lickers in sri lanka will justify their slavish parroting of western demand that sri lanka submit to western judgement (ie. judgement of western controlled international institutions) on human rights, when sri lanka is continuously denied the right to put its case

as i have said before, west does not care about human rights or justice, it wants to control and exploit us, as it does large (though thank god, reducing) part of the world. that is why west funded and armed the tamil tigers to kill and maim our children. that is why west (brutish british in particular) tried to prevent us from defeating the terrorist murderers. that is why west wants to condemn sri lankans who contributed most to defeating west's paid slaves. etc., etc..

that is why those sri lankans (including some in government) who sincerely believe in west's good  faith and try to work towards a mutually beneficent relationship with west by being open and compliant to western demands, and try to explain the real facts about how we defeated of terrorists, will always be disappointed

instead of being conciliatory to (now tottering and declining) west, we should stand up for our rights; expose the hypocrisy of west; its habitual barbarity as a perpetrator and supporter of,  child killings and other atrocities here and elsewhere; make friends with nations of the future that already do all that.

if west try to coerce us, as they will try (though under international law they can't do much), we should retaliate in proportion against their filthy paid agents here. no pardons.

if west want us to cooperate with them, they should be the ones who make conciliatory gestures

unfortunately government is not consistent on its policy towards west.  it will learn the hard way that accommodating west will not work.

however, sri lanka is a democracy, and ultimately it is we, sri lankans, who will make our own destiny. as such there is every reason to believe that justice will win and we will prevail in the end against western  efforts to control us.

questions that must be addressed by those who want an 'international war crimes inquiry' in sri lanka

i will highlight some basic questions that must be addressed by anyone who genuinely wants an 'independent international inquiry' into alleged war crimes committed in sri lanka.

all those who fail to address these issues betray their bad faith when they say they want justice and truth to prevail in order to reconcile the nation. many have already revealed bad faith (esp. when they commented on so called un panel/darusman report).

questions-
why only sri lanka is subjected to such an inquiry? are we the only ones that supposedly committed war crimes while fighting against terrorists? to take an example among many, what about the west in iraq, afghanistan, and pakistan? how does one advocate such a double standard inquiry when justice demands one standard for all? bc west is powerful and we, who are not, must obey? bc we, as 'inferiors' (racially or otherwise), must not demand equal treatment?

why is there an attempt (as with so called un/darusman panel) to focus only on suffering and wrongs of a section of sri lankans at one point of time, instead of all? why this separation of victims? is that justice? was sufferings of rest of us (few nauseating proofs here and here) inferior? how? can such arbitrary differentiations lead to reconciliation?

why now, after we defeated terrorists? why the focus only on last days of tamil tiger terrorists? why was our suffering from terrorists not inquired into for 30+ years? why many many crimes against humanity committed by terrorists not worthy of inquiry then? why did self styled humanitarians and human right advocates do nothing then? why same ppl who push for an international inquiry now, pushed us to appease the murderers then? why didn't same ppl and countries help us defeat the terrorists with least human loss, instead of opposing any attempt to defeat terrorists and end their crimes and our suffering? why no inquiry into terrorists collecting funds in west with help of some western politicians?

are some of the things we are accused of really 'war crimes'? are they not accidents, 'collateral damage', use of human shields by terrorists, etc., etc., common in any attempt to defeat terrorists? why these distinctions made for west's defense elsewhere, but in our case all these are 'crimes'? are we not right to suspect that, in western eyes, our main 'war crime' was our disregard for their pressure not to defeat terrorists (hence arbitrary focus of requested 'international' inquiry and illegitimate un/darusman panel, only on events after we disregarded west's call not to defeat ltte)? how is that justice?

shouldn't there be substantiated evidence before accusations are made? shouldn't those accused have a right to examine at first hand, and question (and cross question) the allegations and those who who make them, before such allegations are judged 'credible'? isn't prejudging this, as so called un/darusman panel did, an injustice?

didn't western funded ngos (like human rights watch, amnesty international, and international crisis group,) making the allegations, fail to appear, produce evidence, and face questions, before a legally constituted sri lankan inquiry when requested? wasn't their subsequent demand for an inquiry with 'international standards' that do not exist anywhere else (see above), rather than normal legal standards accepted by all (including sri lankan inquiry) a call for injustice and special treatment (betraying their colonial mindset)?

must be addressed
these are the questions that must be addressed by those who call for an 'independent inquiry with international standards' if they have any pretensions to intellectual honesty and integrity. it is impossible to claim such an inquiry, is independent, maintains legal standards, serves justice and truth, and leads to reconciliation, without answering these questions.

so far almost all those who have called for an 'international' inquiry have failed to address these issues. this is especially noticeable in articles, internet postings, and media interviews, etc., these ppl gave after the publication of so called un panel/darusman report. by not addressing them they betray their bad faith and disregard for justice and equality.

we, sri lankans, should not be afraid to assert ourselves and demand (aggressively if need be) that ppl who call for an 'international' inquiry must address these issues, bc it is we who are being slandered and denied justice and equality. in some cases we would be (and have been) accused for rudeness and subjected to censorship when we demand our basic rights by raising these issues. that is the usual mode of all such oppressors.

by demanding justice and equality, and exposing hypocrisy of those who fail to address these questions, we will overcome.

sri lankans who fail
we should not hesitate to confront with these questions those sri lankans dependent on western funds (esp in ngos) who join with their paymasters in calling for an 'international' inquiry. failure to address or even recognize these issues, by this sort of willing slaves, deserve open contempt. let them go crying to their masters with our spit on their faces.

sidesteps
those who try to sidestep these questions by saying 'we should not be afraid of an inquiry if we have nothing to hide', or 'we should inquire into our actions regardless of whether west will inquire in to theirs in iraq etc.' are missing the point. we, sri lankans, should in fact inquire into our actions in sri lanka under sri lankan law. we should criticize any undue delay or shortcoming in such a sri lankan inquiry.

however shortcomings or not, nothing can justify our submitting to an unjust and unequal inquiry approved and forced upon us by west. anyone honestly addressing the questions above will realize that any 'international' inquiry constituted at present will be unjust, will treat us unfairly, and serve only western interests.

osama bin laden, dead. good.

as everyone know by now, despicable mass murderer osama bin laden, head of al-qaida was killed in an operation conducted by american central intelligence agency (cia) in pakistan last night.

this is good news for all those who hate terrorism.

americans rightly celebrate in usa. see photos.

racist double standards

we will see whether those westerners ( and their tools and paid slaves) who advised us not to celebrate our freedom after we defeated tamil tiger terrorist murderers (in the process killing mass murderer velupillai prabhakaran) will give the same advise now. we were threatened, oppressed, and killed, to a greater extent by tamil tigers than al-qaida ever did to west. also our victory was more comprehensive and less costly in lives and resources. but west said we should not express joy at our liberation, then.

we will also observe whether west and its tools will investigate the possible 'war crimes' that were committed in the operations that were conducted while tracking down and killing osama.

for instance, all american operations in pakistan break international law (since countries are not at war, united nations has not authorized such attacks, and pakistani government and ppl have formally and publicly opposed them). in many earlier attacks in pakistan ( esp by so called unmanned drones) lots of innocents were killed. all, such attacks, including the last were authorized by american president; responsibility is his. there are no commissions to investigate any of the western attacks so far (nor for western attacks in other countries).

in contrast, we, sri lankans are 'investigated' and pressured by illegitimate panels, etc. set up by west and its tools (with only allegations to back up the 'charges', and in most cases for actions that were not even crimes). as i said before, this a denial of justice and equality.

i suspect these unjust and unacceptable double standards will continue.

a questionnaire for pro westerners in sri lanka

these queries will separate independent rational sri lankan pro westerners living in reality from pro western unthinking slaves living in fantasy world.

do you think it is legitimate for some western governments to interfere is sri lanka on any ground?

good examples (among many) for such interference are uk minister david millband's attempts at interference here; his attempt to force sri lanka to declare a ceasefire during last stages of fight against terrorists, which would have saved tamil tiger ltte terrorist murderers, his continued patronage of racists in tamil diaspora such as global tamil forum.

is that acceptable to you? even though such a ceasefire would have been totally against interests of sri lankans, and would have allowed terrorists to keep on depriving sri lankans their rights, justice, freedom, and democracy, not to mention lives? even though plans of racists at global tamil forum, if unchecked, would end in sri lankan deaths ?

what do you think motivate ppl like miliband to interfere here? good intentions on our behalf? or purely short term selfish motives, such as pandering to racists in uk tamil voters in the case of david miliband ?

even if such interference is in good faith, made under the impression that they know what is good for us (lol), isn't it still a violation of our political rights as members of a democracy? should we not also object to such presumption on their part ?

or,
do you deny existence of interference and call them merely conspiracy theories propagated by present sri lankan government? in spite of factual evidence for such interference as in david miliband's visit and statements ?

do you object to and denigrate, sri lankan government and others aggressively exposing, objecting to, and countering, any such interference? why? is it not our right to do so?

on the other hand,
if you do object to such interference should you not not make it clear by expressing it and supporting others who are objecting ? did you stay silent and ignore such interference? why?

finally,
do you agree that pro westerners in sri lanka should confine themselves to propagation of ideals (of various western ideologies they happen to espouse) and culture? do you agree that ppl who go beyond that and support and justify particular western governments and individuals when they interfere here should be called their slaves? why not?

for instance, it is very admirable to defend human rights, but it is despicable to support some foreign gov that try force us to obey what they consider right, esp so when we know what they advocate will lead to violation of human rights here.

answers
ppl who consider themselves pro western (and others too) should answer these publicly or in their own minds.

i think anyone reading this blog will know my answers to these questions.

answers of ppl like indi padashow samarajiva and sanjana hattotuwa (and lot of their suckerboys in kottu cocoon) are not hard to find out from their previous writings. they either remained silent or supported foreign interference (in fact some even called for it). they claimed such interference was made in good faith for our own good. they sometimes denigrate aggressive countering of such interference as mere conspiracy theory mongering, when in fact there is no theory involved but undeniable facts, which they ignore .

as i said in yesterday's post, their very frame of reference is limited and narrow. almost every one of them is also either directly or at second hand dependent on western funded ngos for their income.

anyway due to all those factors it is reasonable and justified to call them pro western slaves.

if anyone object to their being called pro westerns slaves by all mean answer the questions raised so that all can judge . :-)

ps

btw indi padashow is bitter that his opportunity to earn something through akon and maharajas by devoting his blog for publicity came to nothing now that no visa will be issued to akon. he is still preaching bana on the subject, though he is contradicting his own words written when some foreign govs allegedly denied visas to some sri lankans. to him, in cases of western govs vs sri lanka. west govs win. always.

in all probability, i will get attacked using despicable tactics at second hand blogs yet again for this. they always resort to that when they cannot deny truth of what i write and cannot use reason and facts to refute me.

if anyone want to honestly dispute what i say, comments below (never censored) is open to all.

stance about military defeat of ltte terrorists should and would define politics for a generation

indi padashow samarajiva before he got a job as part of a backfired akon publicity stunt and devoted his blog for that, wrote "i really hope that the war isn’t, like, our vietnam. as in, something that defines and defines politics forever. ..."

so typical of the clueless one to take another false analogy from history of usa. before the tamil tiger murderers got defeated he was repeatedly saying that sri lanka will not defeat the terrorists through military means and sri lanka government was only conquering territory, comparing fight against terrorists here to american efforts in iraq(which he thought was failing) and vietnam.

he stuck to it when it was pointed out by me (before he started censoring me) that many countries, ranging from indonesia to peru to turkey to algeria, have in fact successfully defeated terrorists and guerrillas (only difference from groups defeated in those countries; ltte was larger and more vile).

this happened several times in indi.ca and other blogs. search there.

likes of indi padashow (lot of them in kottu cocoon) seem to be stuck in a box with only american frame of references. (or more correctly liberal american frame of references); resulting in a narrow minded and uneducated worldview.

if anyone want to compare the military defeat of ltte to anything in american history, it should be to american civil war (1861-1865). even there the analogy fails. south aka confederate states of america, in that war was more than a mere armed criminal gang as ltte was.

[btw did you know what indi padashow and ilk know but fail to mention in their american analogies while criticizing present sri lankan government? that during civil war abraham lincoln suspended habeas corpus, imprisoned thousands of ppl for suspicion without trial, violated constitution when he spent money as he wanted against the wishes of congress, etc. etc. i think i will keep that unmentioned comparison to another post]

anyway back to the topic.

should various stands about militarily defeating ltte terrorists define sri lankan politics for another generation?

yes.

why?
quite simply, bc politicians' stances reveal their character.

anyone who opposed military defeat of ltte bc they thought it cannot be done, displayed a lack of judgment and proved themselves unpragmatic dreamers. should voters consider that? yes.

anyone who preferred appeasement of terrorists to defeating them were worse. they chose an immoral course of action, they preferred to sacrifice rights, justice, freedom, democracy, and even lives, of sri lankans for a unsustainable 'peace'. should voters consider that? you bet!

unrepentant ppl in above to two categories should not be (and imo would not be) allowed to hold real power in sri lanka.

however opposite is not true. ppl who believed and even contributed to defeating terrorists shouldn't and wouldn't necessarily get real power automatically. that depends on other matters. a misconception about this point is what led some clueless idiots (and some foreign reporters too lazy to think and find out truth) to propagate the myth that those who appreciate victory over terrorist (racists termed these 'sinhalese') will split their votes more or less equally between mahinda rajapaksa and sarath foneska. election results vindicated my refutation of this myth.

iow a politician's stand on military defeat of terrorists is a basic qualification of entry. if you did not support it and is still unrepentant you have no chance, but supporting it does not mean you will get the job. imo this will be true for a generation.

of course even politicians without that qualification will get elected (esp due to probational representation) but they will not get real power. ppl who openly repent their opposition to military defeat of ltte may get through to real power, though their earlier stand will always be a rightful part of their opponents' arsenal.

to give a concrete example. present ranil wickremasinghe led unp leadership will not get real power. second or third tier of unp (say sajith premadasa) do have a chance once they can get rid of present leadership and publicly and officially renounce unp's peacenik stance.

to conclude, if you want a successful career in sri lankan politics in the next 20-30 years make sure to check you were in the right side about defeating terrorists.

too bad (or i should say too good) that former political appointee rohan samarajiva's patrons are in the wrong side and are unrepentant. no wonder his son, who is still living off his parents, don't want this issue to define politics.

ps
will i get attacked through second hand blogs (which i have never advocated banning btw) for this post too. lol.

beware of rumors spread by sore loser and his minions

vicious and vindictive sarath fonseka is living up to his personality. he is acting like a sore loser after the right royal trashing he got from sri lankan voters.

some of his former terrorist friendly supporters, disappointed that their racist attempt to hoodwink sri lankans using fonseka failed, are now hoping to benefit from his personality coupled with sore loser situation to denigrate sri lanka, its democracy, and the election.

they are also using one of the oldest tricks in the book to try to create panic and tension; rumor. so far without success.

beware of them.

ask for confirmation and sources before believing .

truth and reason always triumphs in sun light. so get them to sunlight, to expose them for what they are; pathetic liars.

keep a record if possible of their activities bc some of them may be illegal.

in addition word of mouth and texting sms, they are online too.

among others, former peacenik and terrorist parrot sanjana hathotuwa is deliberately spreading false rumors. unp/sf propagandist indi.padashow, while confirming nothings is insinuating god knows what. dinidu de alwis and several of their suckerboys are repeating these lies in their blogs and in twitter.

to repeat, beware of sore losers and their slaves, ask questions, and confront the lies and lairs with reason and facts. they will be exposed.

who to vote for? a guide

the main failing of a representative democracy like sri lanka is that voter cannot decide on each policy individually, one by one. we have to decide between individuals who make promises to act according to a package of policies.

(btw while the outcome of this election, a big victory for mahinda rajapaksa, was clear from the start, imo mere certainty's of outcome should not be a sufficient reason to favor it.)

i will come to individuals later, now we will look at,
how to evaluate a package of policies.

first we will have to ask, are the policies consistent with each other? in other words do they adhere to any ideology.

in sri lanka as in other democracies the electable candidates are not likely to be creatures of any ideology. there are few minor candidates who may have policies that are ideologically consistent. any vote for them will be wasted, except as an almost invisible protest. (btw bc in sl minor candidate ideologues are either marxists or racists, and there are no libertarians, i cannot make such an empty protest even if i wanted)

2 major candidates are ideologically inconsistent. however vaguely left of center mahinda rajapaksa is more coherent than all over the place sarath fonseka.

since a choice based on ideology is out of question, how are we to continue, esp given their preference for empty platitudes and slogans rather than policy specifics or implementation details.

to judge between such undefined policy collections, we have to focus; we have to concentrate on what we consider major policy decisions facing the country and drop all minor ones. then we have to make out from available material whether there are any material differences between the candidates about those.

what are the major policy issues?
national security and economy will be my answer. some would also add good governance/corruption. (so i will comment on that as well)

national security
we defeated murderous tamil tiger terrorists. that is a glorious national achievement (to which both candidates contributed significantly; one of course had greater responsibility by definition). that achievement should be defended in every way possible.

nobody should be allowed to roll it back. esp not by giving power to unrepentants who were willingly either racist pro terrorists and/or pro appeasement peaceniks (i.e. those who believed peace is worth any cost, even the cost of human rights, freedom, justice and democracy; they opposed defeating the tamil tiger terrorist pussies with violence if needs be, preferring instead to handover fellow sri lankans to terrorist oppression in appeasement). ppl with such attitudes at such a time proved that they are both morally pervert and unrealistic. by refusing to repent and renounce their former attitudes, and continuing to denigrate the national victory, they now prove they are incapable of learning and/or corrupt to the core .

now such ppl (unp leadership, tna, likes of mano ganeshan, peacenik ngos) are supporting sarath fonseka. why? bc he has agreed to their conditions, which while not explicit in rolling back the defeat of terrorists, will give means to these ppl to do exactly that. his willingness to accept of such conditional support coupled with his own irresponsible statements to media, only indicate his less than willing commitment to defend the great national achievement.

some might object, that mahinda rajapaksa too has a few such supporters. he has some such ppl, but in contrast to fonseka's, they after renouncing the attitudes referred to above, in most cases even helped in defeating the terrorists. nor will they be in a position to roll back the terrorist defeat in case of a mahinda victory since he is not working under conditions imposed by them.

i think on this issue, the voting decision is very clear for anyone who values freedom, human rights, democracy, and justice. sarath fonseka and his current supporters should not be allowed to achieve power.

economy
no recognizable policy by either candidate, beyond irresponsible spending sprees of gigantic proportions. needless to say, if carried out, such actions will lead to total collapse. thankfully they are impossible to carry out, so will not be implemented.

in any case, government's ability to influence economy is pretty limited, bc sri lankan are very good at ignoring government (from taxes to regulations) and getting away with it.

if there is a difference, it is one of degree. mahinda camp (confident of victory, in contrast to desperation in foseka camp) seems to be more restrained, knowing they will be held to account for not keeping to promises, come next election. one election promise will illustrate this. fonseka promises rs.10,000/= monthly salary increase to all public servants. mahinda so far has made a point of not following this with a counter bid, pointing out its unrealistic nature. of course he has upped or initiated other such 'promise bids'.

it goes without saying that as a libertarian, i am completely frustrated at this state of affairs; there is no candidate to stand for a pro market, less government, position. this is partly the fault of unp as i have explained before.

in all this, it must be remembered that sri lankan economy is doing well in spite politicians; growth is likely to be in 6%+ levels in next few years, inflation is at 25 year low, and stock market is at a record high.

anyway, there is not much of a difference when it comes to economy. mahinda has already shown that he hasn't/can't ruin it in spite his promises, while fonseka's similar promises probably won't be carried out either if he gets elected.

iow, fonseka has not shown why he should get the vote based on economic issues.

good governance and corruption
i don't think this is a major issue. but some ppl do try to make it an issue and it is the one that is most talked about by politicians and commentators, while imo most voters will decide based on above two issues.

anyway, i don't see a difference between the candidates on this issue. both are corrupt, both have corrupt supporters, both sides used/use government property and benefits for campaigning.

what could be more absurd than ppl like ravi karunanayake denouncing corruption (as he did in unp ass licker harsha de silva' program yesterday). lol.

while corrupt should be punished lawfully if possible, i seriously doubt individuals promising to eradicate corruption of others. at most there will be political show trials of opponents that go nowhere due to technicalities if the accused is no fool (such outcomes are a part of democracies, for show trials with convictions (and executions) go to china).

some supporter of fonseka talk of 'good governance' through implementation of 17th amendment. most voters would not know the difference between it and 13th. imo 17th is an undemocratic, unworkable, loophole ridden, bureaucratic, money wasting monstrosity, and cannot and should not be implemented. (i really should write a post about it, but 17th is so cloud cookooish i can't motivate myself). in any case i doubt unp, jvp, tna, and others, who were each in part responsible for failure to implement it at various times, will agree to it when in power and handover power to unelected commissions of fractious nominees.

only way to achieve good governance and less corruption is to reduce the size of government, limiting its ability to spend our money and its ability to interfere in our lives and activities. handing power for both to a new set of government commissions will not do that.

iow there is no difference between the main candidates or their supporters on this issue.

individuals
how confident are we that these ppl will keep to their promises.

we know a lot about rajapaksa. we know he has not kept most of his economic promises (thank god) and has kept his promises regarding the terrorists (thank god again). we can generally expect rajapaksa to govern from a pragmatic center left position as he has done so far.

about fonseka we don't know much beyond his constant whining (bc he thinks he is not being appreciated enough), and his willingness, through resulting bitterness, to enter unprincipled incoherent alliances and endanger his fellow officers/subordinates/superiors by uttering irresponsible and false statements, in revenge. not very good signs for a man who wants to be a political leader.

conclusion

on the main issues other than national security there is not much difference.

on national security it is clear fonseka and his supporters must be defeated to ensure we continue to enjoy the benefits of liberty from terrorists in the future.

i will vote accordingly. you should too.

results
i think by giving a big margin of victory for mahinda rajapaksa, sri lankans will send a clear message of unacceptability of anyone who welcomes and works to further, the agendas of unrepentant peaceniks and terrorists supporters.

opposition after ridding itself of peacenik leaders, could have made this a more competitive election (and gained my vote) by fielding someone who does not accept such support and who has clear contrasting pro market economic policies. they may still have lost this election, but they would have remained with a firm principled platform to build on and absorb any dissatisfaction with the next rajapaksa administration. they blew it.

now they will have nothing to build on after fonseka's inevitable defeat. most we can hope for is that they will get the message as to what kind of opposition is needed.

news - uk government freed lockerbie terrorist "for oil" - same hypocrites preach to us about justice & human rights?

leaked letters by british justice secretary jack straw published yesterday has revealed that it was in fact uk government (as opposed to merely the scottish one as was originally claimed) that agreed to release of the convicted lockerbie bomber, abdelbaset ali mohmed al megrahi. release was linked to finalization of a libyan oil deal for british oil company bp.

sri lankans who have their eyes and ears open are certainly not surprised that british did another despicable blood for money, anti justice, anti human rights, deal. it is what they have always done with regard to tamil tiger terrorist murderers. they let organized racists affiliated with ltte to collect money unhindered, they support terrorist parroting ngos, they have failed to prevent, investigate, prosecute, or even condemn, racists in britain for hate mongering and attacking sri lankans there, and we know what happened during last days of terrorist pussies, british foreign secretary david miliband rushed here to save the mass murderers and with others called for a ceasefire to let murderers breath again.

all this resulted in more death and suffering to us, sri lankans.

all this was done to pander to large tamil diaspora (in which racist voices, affiliated with terrorists and supported by violence, drown out others) there. some labour party politicians in particular are dependent on diaspora support to get elected, especially since polls point to a defeat for labour party in coming election. same motives, now in the form ratings and ads, drive some media there to publish unverified and unsubstantiated fables to slander sri lanka and inflame racist hate against sri lankans.

while this travesty of justice with regard to lockerbie bomber was rightly exposed, the same media will not expose british sheltering and financing of tamil tiger terrorist murderers. lockerbie victims, mostly americans, and their friends, have influence (thank god) to balance interests of some uk politicians and businesses, we sri lankans have no such influence and unlikely to have any, as long as that racist dominated tamil diaspora can command votes and sri lanka is still a developing country.

that is why we sri lankans will do well not to expect justice and fairness from united kingdom in the near future, we can only expect hate, harm, and injustice, whatever we do.

we should not pander to their politicians or media as some born slaves here sometimes recommend by giving them access or by giving supposedly independent foreigners to investigate and judge human right cases here. they will not be independent and we will not get justice.

instead we should aggressively and frankly confront them with facts and ask them to substantiate their claims. we should not hesitate to expose their real motives and hypocrisy.

we sri lankans should not let these shameless hypocritical british helpers of terrorist murderers to preach to us about justice and human rights, uncontested.

ps
of course we should also aggressively confront and expose the slaves (sometimes paid slaves) of these foreigners here, from paikiasothy saravanamuttu to sunila abeysekera, from sanjana hattotuwa, to indi padshow. they should be asked (at the risk of censorship, and in spite of the fact that they will not dare reply in any place where freedom of expression prevail) to explain why their stances in various sri lankan issues always seem to flow harmoniously with those of racist terrorists and their foreign supporters, instead of with substantiated facts and principles of justice, human rights, democracy, and freedom.

a msg to ban ki-moon - we will celebrate our victory over, & liberation from, terrorists

a msg to ban ki-moon the secretory general of united nations- we, sri lankans, will celebrate our victory over & liberation from murderous terrorist pussies of ltte.

to assume that we are celebrating a victory over a community rather than a group of criminal thugs, as he does, is racist and shows a complete lack of understanding about sri lankan situation. it is he who should apologize to us.

our military and ordinary sri lankans made great sacrifices to break free from the tamil tiger terrorist's threats against our lives, our human rights, our freedom, our justice, and our democracy. those should be acknowledged and their glory celebrated. we will do that, whether secretary ban likes it or not.

if ban ki-moon wants to mourn the death of our murderers, let him, but such a supporter of our enemies has no right to lecture us, investigate us, or judge us, after that.

if he fails to understand that his attacks against sri lanka are encouraging hate attacks against sri lankans now going on in western countries (unhindered, unreported, and uncondemned, by so called defenders of human rights in those governments and media, and un) he is a fool and a hypocrite.

btw we should prosecute to fullest extent anyone foreign or sri lankan, (doctor or not,) who was caught helping the terrorists here. helpers of murderers should not escape. they should be allowed to reflect on their crimes against us through a long incarceration in a sri lankan prison, instead of being set free because they have connections in high places. we will see whether justice will be done or whether it will be perverted, by likes of ban ki-moon, who claims to stand for it, by pressuring sri lankan government to release them.

any one who called for a ceasefire has no right to judge us now

any one who called for a ceasefire with terrorist tamil tiger murderers, during death throes of those pussies, has no moral right to judge us or even investigate us, sri lankans.

they have already shown themselves to be biased against sri lankans.
by calling for a ceasefire at that moment, as i said then, they tried to deny us our right to life, and tried to deny us access to human rights, freedom, democracy and justice. they showed themselves to be pro terrorists, only interested in saving their friends the murderous ltte. they did this due to corruption, racism, and/or political pandering to racists.

these include some ppl in united nations, some western politicians and media (esp. in uk) and of course peacenik slaves here.

now these same hate mongers, rabid at their failure to save the murderers, are involved in yet another attempt to justify terrorist's hate networks abroad and revive the dead murderers here, by calling for investigations (and typically passing "judgments" at the same time).

even at face value, their statements then and now are hypocritical, unless they had already called for ceasefires, passed judgments, and called for investigations, of west's war against its terrorist enemies. (esp. since unlike here most of them are not facing an immediate death threats as we face as long as ltte exists). none of them have, done any of that certainly not with the racist keenness they now show about sri lanka.

but we should not stop at pointing out the all too obvious hypocrisy of what they say.
bc they are also slandering sri lanka. they have yet to substantiate any of the claims they throw out (esp. about the wildly varying number for casualties). all of their claims are based solely on terrorist propaganda (in fact, terrorist propaganda based in foreign countries). when asked to substantiate, they have nothing to show. nothing! when someone accuses innocent ppl of atrocities without evidence, that itself is a crime. these ppl should be exposed in their acts, and should not be forgiven until they are held accountable for what they said and are saying now.

it is telling that same ppl are yet to condemn (or even to report, in the case of racist british media, that have been so keen to investigate us ) the almost daily hate attacks on sri lankans by terrorist supporters in western countries, where there is a total lack of investigations or preventive measures against such attacks. by making false claims mentioned above, and giving false figures, these ppl are encouraging and justifying those hate attacks and lack of action against them.

we should challenge their slanders wherever we find them, aggressively.

we won the military victory against terrorists by sticking to and not backing down from the morally justifiable path, even when these hypocrites were pressuring us to do otherwise. we should not, and will not, allow same hypocrites to judge and/or investigate us now.

only ppl who wholeheartedly supported us in our war against criminal terrorists has any right to judge us.

ps
was out of country for few days on business.
