according to tradition of this blog, i will publish the results of 2015 presidential election held today on one page (updated as results are received).
based on experience, i will publish following useful results in compressed but comprehensible form, rather than meaningless numbers that others do. there is also no need to click through to many pages, as in other places; all needed info will be in this 1 page.

{comments and notes
this section between curly brackets will include any comments and notes by me, if necessary. unlike other blog posts, i will edit this section as i go on. so nothing here will be permanent.
there may be one or two typos. i will proof read this later. also some election department pages for kandy district are not available. though they seem to be fixing this. i will ink them later.
}
other useful data
i will give a 2 percentage splits for each electoral division for 2015 and 2010.
like so-

hey u change mahinda and my3 results

u put wrong ways..
i don't see any error.
you are doing a great job.thank you.
Dr Herath
I belief still we have people think about this country than himself.
MR will win taking the 55% to 57% votes. Thank to the brave people in SL.
He must sweep all the "Bath Balayas" surrounding him, that harming his image.
I think you need to change the colour for the Kandy district Kundasale result?
i think maithri pala sirisena will do a great job .
We salute to those who bravely came out to work against the flow of corruption, and the momentum of existing power. You have given us something to start with on behalf of democracy without shedding blood. You were strongly proposing an alternative solution to an inevitable blood shed to reverse the power trend responding to natural balancing loop in the nature. Thank you gentlemen. We have witnessed such bursts in many a time in our short life & who can deny the possibility of another in an imminent recession & drifting international relations. People vote en-mass if one shows a bit of a real visionary leadership model of all communities in this war ridden country paining to deliver a true democracy for all which has power to stop recurrence. This achievement can be protected only with democratic governance, free from ethnicity biased ideologies, corruption so on . Again we stress that it is the system responsible for 95% of defects. Thank you

Nice stats!!
Isn't losing by 4 -5% crazy?
Stupidity & jealousy flamed by known enemies of the country & people have won marginally.
Now wait for the country to be pushed back 20 years!!
Wow! your predictions are very accurate this election also. LOL
As with any change, there is uncertainty. Mahinda had gathered a lot of power under the control of one person, the Executive President ... and now he has lost that position and another man has that power. Hopefully, (unlike MR) he will keep his promise to redistribute that power to the Parliament and Judicial branches of the government; real checks and balances to control the abuse of power by any single person.
MR's power grab scared people, so they opted for a change, risking the uncertainty that it could get worse. Time will tell.
We should Honor Sumanadasa the Court Astrologer for unseating incumbent President 2 yrs in Advance
heh!!1 heh!!!
:-)
So much for the STUPID suckers who bite into this stupidity of Astrology!!!!
If this Election proved one thing that is the MYTH of Astrology and Kovil not Forgetting the Period to Corruption and puling Cotton wool in front of Gullible Idiots who flock to Vote for the Hora King and the Co0horts.
As a true Buddhist This is 'Dittha Dhamma Vedaneeya Kamm'
How fatal it is the same Symbol Contestant unseat the Hora in just 4 yrs.
This is what you did to General Fonseka 'Kammma Vipaka'
Dayan Jayathilaka can kiss my Ass now!!!!
;-)
What a crook he is, he who mentioned in live TV that the Foreign service of Sri Lanka has gone to DOgs just one month a go was white washing the Corrupt regime to the high heavens in the wee hours.
I feel so sorry about the 1/8 Jokers in Rupavahing( Patchvahini)
Long live the Sadharana Samjayak and the Right Rev. Sobhiths, the most Courageous, just Monk I know so far next is Athuraliye Rathana
we are not so UNLUCKY eh??
What happened to LTTE in North happened to the Rajapaksha Terrorists too
regards,
aj
here after i don't see any bad activities in this country....Sri Lanka become beautiful country in this world.........
Keep it up
Thanks
Awesome, so we have a new president Mr. Sirisena. I wish him all the best. It would be fantastic if you can give breakdown by district for 2015 elections.

Once again thank you for the really useful stats!!
These charts also shows the intelligence level of Sri Lankan people by the region!!
MR's defeat is due to the provocation of minorities, BBS slinging mud at other religions. High COL specially vegetables on eve of the elections. Its a great lesson from God the creator. Words from your tongue are very dangerous.
Stand for a peaceful & successful future for each & every citizens of SriLanka...
